Bruno Belamich added: “We wanted to conceive a watch that was very decorative,
and the BR 05 series was a good fit because the case had enough space for decoration.”
The brand prefers embossed or round mould carving decoration, because this delicate

Aviation inspiration
BR 05 Artline Ornate Bell&Ross rare. Bruno Belamich points out: “I had several themes in mind when I designed this watch, the first one being aviation.” The pleated shape of the case comes from two inspirations:
- Aircraft Design: Aircraft in the 1940s had a corrugated aluminum fuselage design that was not only lighter but also better resistant to deformation.
- Urban fashion: people widely use metal aluminum in urban construction. Advanced buildings are clad with aluminium metal façades. Many buildings in the Paris-La Defense metropolitan area have metal facades. The interior design also makes good use of the benefits of aluminium, with extensive use of edgy lighting and decorative details.
Concept of design
The BR 05 Artline also inherits the classic design features of Bell&Ross:
- Hands and markers are luminous for easy readability day and night
- The stick-shaped hour markers replace the numbers, and the 12 o’clock position is a double-bar-shaped design, which is simple and modern, adding personality to the dial
- Date aperture at 3 o’clock, a practical configuration
- The ray-patterned dial features an elegant grey needled finish, a colour first seen in the BR 05 collection, which contrasts with the 40mm stainless steel case and accentuates the dial. Bell & Ross equipped the watch with the Bell&Ross self-made BR-CAL 321 self-winding movement, and the sapphire glass case bottom cover shows the movement structure.
Artline has the potential to develop into a unique collection of styles,
with more new styles to come in the coming days. Bell & Ross is only selling the BR 05 Artline
